Aman Defines its Ultra-Luxury Cruise Concept

Amangati arrivees in 2027--Aman at Sea

Aman Resorts which has 36 hotels on land is about to head to sea. The pioneering luxury brand has finally released its concepts for the inaugural vessel Amangati, scheduled to launch for the 2027 summer season.

Amangati is based on Aman’s hallmarks – a signature sense of peace. unparalleled service and a minimalist design DNA – with the timeless allure of life on the ocean. Its 600-foot yacht designed in partnership with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and currently under construction at T.Mariotti S.p.A in Genoa, will accommodate up to 94 guests in 47 spacious suites. Suites onboard will be among the cruise industry’s largest– starting at 532 square feet and rising up to 1,972 square feet for the Aman Suite. Each suite will come with an expansive private terrace, some with plunge pools.

Set to redefine sea travel

Designed to evoke a sense of elemental calm and inspired by the interior architecture of a Japanese ryokan home, the suites are described as studies in spatial composure with dedicated lounge and seated areas in addition to king-size beds. Subtly curved ceilings and full-height windows will bathe timber-toned interiors in golden light, enhancing the sense of volume and openness, the designers say. Textured materials bring tactility and warmth – custom joinery, ash wood underfoot, travertine in the spa-style en-suite bathrooms, with free-standing baths, are surrounded by woven linen on the walls – an extension of the design aesthetic for which Aman is internationally famous.

Onboard, the guest experience will bring Aman’s lifestyle to the water, with globally inspired wellness and a range of dining concepts. These include Nama, Aman’s signature Japanese restaurant, an informal all-day Mediterranean space, an Aman Grill and atmospheric Jazz Club. In addition, a serene and spacious Aman Spa, complete with Japanese garden, will allow for ultimate relaxation during each voyage. Finally, the stern of the yacht will be home to an expansive Marina, providing direct access to the water.

Aman at Sea is continuing to build a world-class leadership team. The latest addition is Angela Composto, named Senior Vice-President Sales, Marketing & Reservations. She’s got a track record with many of the top luxury brands, most recently at Orient Express Sailing Yachts, where she was VP sales & marketing. Before that, she was VP marketing at American Queen Voyages. And she was the original head of sales and marketing at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and had previous roles at Crystal Cruises and Silveersea Cruises.

“Over the past 25 years working in luxury hospitality, I have strived to gain a strong strategic vision and the ability to anticipate industry trends, which has led to the launch of several successful global brands. Now, I am honored to apply this experience at Aman at Sea and look forward to introducing the Aman brand’s deeply rooted values and exceptional reputation to the world’s oceans for the very first time,” Composto commented at her appointment.

Aman has already opened reservations for private charters and events and plans to begin taking bookings soon for curated Mediterranean itineraries on Amangati in 2027. Details are at Aman at Sea
