Christmas market river cruises have become a tradition in Europe, now American Queen Steamboat Company is promoting holiday season cruises on its American classic river ships in November and December at savings of up to $1,600 per stateroom.
The American Queen and American Duchess visit as many as 13 different port cities on the the Lower Mississippi on their themed voyages, with visits to the most memorable Christmas markets in the South. Stops on the Lower Mississippi itineraries include Natchez, St. Francisville, Nottoway, Vicksburg, New Orleans and Memphis. A unique nine-night Creole Christmas voyage leaves Memphis for New Orleans on Dec. 23 and a five-night roundtrip from New Orleans for New Years leaves New Orleans on Dec. 30
The company is also offering deals on their holiday sailings on the American Empress on the Columbia River.
