Cocktails with Cruella on Disney’s Destiny

Cruella de Vil's piano bar is a sleek room with a spotted piano--Disney Cruise Line

There will be plenty of heroes and even places to be entertained by friendly villains on the newest Disney Cruise Line ship. Disney Destiny will feature a first-of-its-kind dining experience inspired by The Lion King, and a confectionary themed to Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles. Hercules will be the main production show. There’s also a piano lounge inspired by Cruella de Vil of One Hundred and One Dalmatians and a pub featuring Pirates of the Caribbean as part of the ship’s heroes and villains theme.

Here’s a preview of Disney’s third Wish-class ship and the first to debut at Port Everglades, due in late 2025.

De Vil’s piano lounge

Cruella’s infamous flair for style and wickedly bold attitude will be reflected in the Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetic of this adults-only cocktail lounge, where everything will be adorned in her signature color palette of red, black and white. There’s even a spotted piano. One side of De Vil’s will be open to the Grand Hall, allowing patrons to enjoy a drink and a prime view of the ship’s premier gathering space.

Cask and Cannon pub

This watering hole features characters and scenes inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean and furnished with treasures “acquired” by the pirates in their pillaging. The pub will serve an extensive menu of specialty and vintage rums as well as “bootlegged” brews developed specially for the venue and served straight from the barrel.
Another new craft cocktail bar is Haunted Mansion Parlor, reminiscent of a first-class drawing room from the classic cruise liners of the golden age, this experience builds on a theme park attraction and also features on 2024 sister ship Disney Treasure.

Floating adventure on AquaMouse–Disney Cruise line

AquaMouse encounters

There are seven pools staggered among tiered decks in a family district with a new 760-foot long adventure ride: AquaMouse. The story line revolves around Disney Animation villains and the theme Sing a Silly Song. Heroes Mickey and Minnie lead guests on a seemingly ominous trek to the peak of Villain Mountain. When faced with some of the most fearsome villains of Disney Animation lore, the duo will employ a silly song — and a bit of pixie dust — to transform each chilling encounter into a wacky surprise. It’s one of four new shows planned for the ship.

Feasting like a King

Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King is a family restaurant featuring live musicians and storytellers presenting a musical journey through ‘The Lion King’ soundtrack, using authentic African instruments and theatrical props. From productions of  Circle of Life and Hakuna Matata to a mash-up of  I Just Can’t Wait to Be King and Be Prepared, the show will be a musical retelling of Simba’s heroic journey to triumph over his villainous uncle and claim his rightful place as king of Pride Rock.

Edna Á La Mode Sweets is a confectionary inspired by the Auntie Edna short film, with Edna’s sewing equipment  repurposed as sweet-making devices. This dessert spot will offer handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, candies and specialty treats served in a space full of bolts of fabric and costume models.

Lion King show happens during dinner–Disney Cruise Line

Heroes-inspired cafes

Just off Disney’ Destiny’s Grand Hall, the ship’s central hub and gathering space, two casual walk-up cafes will serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages and snacks. Café Megara will pay homage to Disney Animation’s Hercules with a vibrant Greco-isco design. And Café Merida, an area inspired by the flame-haired heroine of Pixar’s Brave, will have a Celtic-centered design.

The Disney Destiny will also feature two guest-favorite experiences from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, inspired by the stories and characters of the Marvel Universe.

Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will host guests for  celebrations starring the lively duo of Rocket and Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy films. During a tribute to the many Super Heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe who keep the world safe, Groot will take over the proceedings and bring the festivities to the next level, organizing the ultimate surprise party for his friend Rocket—just in time for dessert.

In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids ages three to 10 can also become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures at Marvel Super Hero Academy, a high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to be the next generation of Super Heroes alongside some of their favorite Avengers.
