Declaring Victory in the Great Lakes with a Deal

Victory I on a Great Lake--Victory Cruise Line

Victory Cruise Lines, an all-inclusive small ship cruise line exploring the Great Lakes and Canadian coasts, is offering inaugural savings of $2,000 per stateroom.

The Victory I will be christened in Toronto on April 27 followed by a nine-night maiden Great Lakes voyage to Chicago, and Victory II will be christened on May 12 at Chicago’s Navy Pier before setting sail to Toronto and calling on all five Great Lakes.  Festivities will include a Mother’s Day brunch hosted by the godmothers. of the ship, Victory’s Chairman John Waggoner and his wife Claudette’s daughter Emily Coleman and their oldest granddaughter, Molly Applegate.

The four-deck, 216-guest ships have a retro feel with their paneled public rooms and design of coastal steamers from the 1930s, when passenger ships were still a regular thing on the Great Lakes. The furnishings and curtained windows give the interiors a country inn feel. It’s an easy step out to a promenade deck to view the ever-changing passing scene.

Victory boasts that it has the only coastal cruise ships that dock at Navy Pier in Chicago. They also have the most cruises in a season that hit all five Great Lakes in a cruise –a total of 33 cruises. There are also six special cruises between Milwaukee and Toronto, with savings of up to $4,600 per stateroom.

It’s also the only line that includes a pre-cruise hotel at a premium property plus ground transfers from the hotel to the ship and ship to the airport at disembarkation. Shore excursions are included in every port, ranging from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland to Niagara Falls and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Detroit.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in multiple venues plus culinary events throughout each cruise; gourmet selections include freshly prepared lobster and regionally-inspired dishes; unlimited beverages including an extensive wine list, choice spirits, local craft beers and specialty coffees; open bars and lounges throughout the vessel; unlimited Wi-Fi; live, daily onboard entertainment and enrichment with experts called LakeLorians.

Chairman Waggoner and his wife will also host a special New England & Canada 2025 Reunion Cruise Portland, Maine to Toronto departing April 16, 2025. The 10-night cruise through the St. Lawrence Seaway and Canadian Maritimes will reunite friends from past voyages featuring notable guest entertainers.
