Four Seasons Yachts Keeps Launch Low Key

The long-awaited Four Seasons I has begun her inaugural season, a Mediterranean voyage,coinciding with the 65th anniversary of Four Seasons Hotels and the opening of its first hotel on the first day of spring in 1961.

Serving as godparents were Four Seasons legendary founder and Chairman Isadore Sharp and his wife Rosalie Sharp. But the christening event was so low key, Four Seasons didn’t post a press release. Instead, photos were posted on the Facebook page of Ben Trodd, CEO of Marc-Henry Cruise Holdings, the joint owner and operator of Four Seasons Yachts, Detailss of the event were posted on industry site Seatrade Cruise news by editor Anne Kalosh..

Alejandro Reynal, president and CEO of Four Seasons, said the yacht’s debut on the company’s 65th anniversary made this milestone even more meaningful. “ Four Seasons Yachts is a continuation of the pioneering ambition on which Four Seasons was built, and will reflect the same genuine care, service excellence, and exceptional moments we create for guests on land,” Reynal said. “We are proud to introduce a new expression of our brand at sea, opening an entirely new horizon for our guests.”

“Today’s luxury traveler values time, trust and authenticity above all,” said Trodd. “With the confidence our guests place in Four Seasons comes an equally high expectation for excellence … We answer that call by combining our global standard for luxury hospitality with renowned maritime leadership, inviting our guests to explore the world from an entirely new vantage point.”

Four Seasons says the yacht was conceived as a residential-inspired vessel that references the golden age of yachting, drawing inspiration from the legendary superyacht Christina O, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. It features 95 suites, including the forward-facing /nearly 10,000-square-foot Funnel Suite and the aft-facing nearly 8,000-square-foot Loft Suite. Four Seasons I has a one-to-one guest-to-staff ratio.

The design is by Tillberg Design of Sweden with social spaces by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and creative direction from Prosper Assouline.

Her inaugural Mediterranean season itineraries include Saint-Tropez, Bodrum, Hydra and Montenegro, alongside sailings across the Greek Isles and Croatian coast. In its first year, Four Seasons I will offer 32 voyages across 52 sailings, exploring 130 destinations in more than 30 countries and territories throughout the Mediterranean in summer and the Caribbean and Bahamas in winter.
