Carnival Cruise Line’s golden anniversary present is a new ship in a new generation that carries a name recalling one of the earliest in its fleet.
Fun Ship partners including Kathie Lee Gifford, Guy Fieri, Shaquille O’Neal, Emeril Lagasse and Vanna White, among others, unwrapped boxes that revealed the letters of the name Celebration during a virtual press conference.
The sister ship of the upcoming Mardi Gras will be arriving in 2022, 50 years after the line made its first cruise. Carnival Celebration will debut at PortMiami in November, 2022 from a new Terminal F. The additional terminal will maintain Miami’s position as the top embarkation port for Carnival Cruise Line.
Carnival Celebration will include many of the innovations that will debut on Mardi Gras, including BOLT, the first roller-coaster at sea, along with features created specifically for this ship.
Carnival says its 50th birthday celebration will kick off in March, 2022 with a series of commemorative sailings featuring special entertainment and itineraries that continue all year long. Carnival Celebration’s itineraries will be announced in stages and sales will open in October.
