Oceania Cruises lis stretching the definition of cruises to remarkable lengths. A new menu of options includes cruises that range from 31-day explorations to 180-day circumnavigations.
Oceania’s fleet will be calling at more than 600 destinations in 2028 and 2029, with the new Oceania Aurela the long range champ. Debuting in Novembeer, 2027, it’s a complete transformation of the existing Oceania Nautica into a residential style ship carrying 480 guests.
“For today’s luxury traveler, discovering somewhere new is about more than moving from one place to another,” said Jason Montague, chief luxury officer of Oceania Cruises. “Longer voyages give guests the time to experience destinations differently. They can linger a little longer, venture farther and appreciate the character of each place without feeling rushed.” The cruises are combined with enrichment experiences on board and carefully curated small-group excursions ashore.
Highlights of extended itineraries include:
2028 Around the World in 180 Days. Departing Miami on Jan. 18, 2028, aboard Aurelia, ending in New York., the circumnavigation runs through Mexico and Central America, Hawaii, the South Pacific, Australia, Asia and Europe, moving from tropical islands to Asian ports and on to European coastal capitals.
2029 Around the World in 180 Days. This odyssey from Los Angeles to New York, departs Jan. 6, 2029, also aboard Aurelia. The route covers South American landscapes before New Zealand’s fjords and glaciers, then Asia and Europe’s historic cities.
Epic Reefs to Icy Glaciers is a 68-day sailing from Sydney to Vancouver departing March 7, 2027, aboard Oceania Riviera. It works Australia’s coastline and Southeast Asia before turning north to Japan and Alaska, with the Great Barrier Reef, Komodo dragons, temple sites across Asia and Japan, and Hubbard Glacier among the calls.
Asia to Alaska Majesty runs 39 days from Singapore to Vancouver departing April 5, 2027, aboard Riviera, with calls in the Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan. Excursions include Hong Kong’s Tai O stilt village, Tokyo Skytree and a hike to a glacial lake near Homer, Alaska.
Springing Into Summer is a 66-day voyage from Trieste to London departing April 17, 2027, aboard Oceania Marina. It combines the Adriatic’s coastal cities with Mediterranean ports, calling at Koper, Zadar, Corfu, Sicily and Rome before continuing through Spain, France and Northern Europe, with ancient ruins and seaside towns along the route.
Holiday Crossing is the shortest, but longer than all other ocean crossings. It’s a 31-day sailing from Athens to Miami departing Dec. 18, 2027, aboard Aurelia. It visits highlights of the Italian, French and Spanish Mediterranean coasts before the Canary Islands and an Atlantic crossing, with a San Juan call and its Spanish colonial architecture en route to Miami.
