Seabourn Cruises says it will have one of the youngest fleets at sea with the sale of Seabourn Sojourn. The ship will continue to sail for Seabourn until May, 2026 as a charter from new owner Mitsui Ocean Cruises, a subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines.

Sojourn is still scheduled to do a 126-day Ring of Fire cruise for Seabourn starting Jan. 6, 2026, from Los Angeles to Vancouver. After that, the 15-year old Sojourn will join former fleet-mate Seabourn Odyssey– which was transferred  to Mitsui in 2024– sailing in Asia.

Guests and their travel advisors with bookings after May 15, 2026, will receive a message from Seabourn with details on changes or rebooking options.

“With this transition, Seabourn will have one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the business, perfectly suited to offer the private yacht-like experience that makes us one of the world’s most popular choices in ultra-luxury cruising,” said Mark Tamis, president of Seabourn. “Our award-winning ocean ships combined with our two recently launched expedition ships give us the right mix to serve these important categories in the ultra-luxury travel market while providing our guests with special Seabourn moments in over 500 destinations on seven continents.”

The sale means Seabourn will have three luxury ships carrying between 450 and 532 guests and two new expedition ships, Seabourn Venture and Seabourn Pursuit carrying about 260 guests.

With Sojourn and Odyssey’s exits, Seabourn will have shed 916 berths, which is more than the 528 berths it gained with the pair of expedition newbuilds.
