Shined Up Carnival Victory Renamed Carnival Radiance

Rebuilt Carnival Radiance packs a host of new features--Carnival Cruise Line

Carnival Cruise Line has officially changed the name of Carnival Victory to Carnival Radiance as the ship completes a $200 million bow-to-stern makeover in Cadiz, Spain.

The third in the line’s Sunshine-class series, Carnival Radiance will resume service starting Dec. 13 from Long Beach for a year-round schedule of three- and four-day cruises to Ensenada and Catalina Island. Carnival Miracle has also repositioned to Long Beach to do cruises to Mexico, joining Carnival Panorama, which sails week-long voyages to the Mexican Riviera.

Carnival Radiance adds all the line’s popular Fun Ship 2.0 dining, beverage and entertainment spaces as well as Big Chicken, a casual poolside restaurant created by Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer Shaquille O’Neal that debuted on Mardi Gras earlier this year.
