The Clock’s Ticking for MSC World America Launch

MSC World America will be 22 decks tall--rendering from MSC Cruises

It’s really unusual to get a birth announcement a year in advance. But MSC Cruises thinks the arrival of its new flagship MSC World America is an event cruisers need to make a priority in their planners for 2025.

The ceremony on April 9, 2025 will be held at MSC Cruises’ new state-of-the-art cruise terminal at PortMiami, highlighting the company’s commitment to the North American market. A celebratory sailing will follow with extended call at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.

The traditional breaking of a champagne bottle and a slate of immersive onboard events will highlight everything the 22-deck tall ship featuring 2,614 cabins has to offer.

MSC World America will be MSC Cruises’ first ship in the U.S. market to be powered by liquefied natural gas. The ship is the second of the line’s World Class ships and is specially designed with North American guests in mind, featuring unique restaurants, bars and experiences that blend European design with American comfort, the line boasts.

There will be 13 restaurants, including six specialty concepts alongside guest favourites like Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi and Teppanyaki, and Hola! Tacos and Cantina.

Twenty bars and lounges include a new Sports Bar , a Comedy Club , the Gin Project and the Elixir—Mixology Bar. Masters of the Sea will be a classic British pub complete with a full-scale micro-brewery making MSC Signature beers on board and a Coffee Emporium will feature French, Italian, Turkish and Moroccan serving styles.

MSC World America will sail year-round on weekly cruises from Miami to  Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries.
