In a sign of surging demand for ultra cruising, Emerald Cruises is set to more than double its ocean-going luxury yacht fleet.
Parent company Scenic Group has announced the inaugural season of Emerald Kaia, launching in April 2026. Meanwhile, it celebrated the start of construction for another yacht, Emerald Raiya, aiming to debut in June, 2027 and announced there’s another ship on the horizon for 2028 to sail in Asia.
Like her two sister ships already in service, Emerald Kaia will carry up to 128 guests. Her inaugural season will feature journeys along the coastlines of Greece and Turkey. Highlights of the inaugural April sailing from Limassol to Athens coincide with both Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox Easters and include a private classical concert at Ephesus, with an evening performance in one of the world’s most historic settings. DiscoverMORE experiences include volcanic hikes, Turkish cooking classes, local wine tastings and a guided tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site Delos
On board, guests can enjoy new design highlights, including the Observation Sun Deck with a spa pool and cabanas, the new Night Market dining experience, and expanded suite options, such as connecting suites for families and groups. Wellness facilities include an indoor/outdoor gym, salt therapy lounge, and cold plunge pool designed to balance relaxation and rejuvenation.

Following Emerald Kaia’s debut, Scenic Group is looking ahead to the arrival of Emerald Raiya in June 2027. Construction officially began on Aug. 20, 2025, with the ceremonial cutting of the first steel at the brand’s shipyard partner in Vietnam. The event was attended by special dignitaries, including Ivo Skelin, general manager-design and development projects for Scenic Group.
“We are delighted to celebrate another milestone in the journey of Emerald Cruises as the build of Emerald Raiya begins in Vietnam,” said Glen Maroney, founder and chairman of Scenic Group. “This is a testament to the innovation at Scenic Group and the dedication of our team at MKM Yachts and our valued shipbuilding partners.”
Looking forward, he said Emerald Raiya will feature the same boutique yacht experience and contemporary design philosophy as her sister ships, with spacious suites, expansive public areas and wellness-focused amenities. She will launch with a series of itineraries across the Greek Islands and Eastern Mediterranean in summer 2027.
With Emerald Kaia joining Emerald Azzurra and Emerald Sakara in 2026, followed by Emerald Raiya in 2027 and Emerald Xara in 2028, Scenic Group continues to expand the world of luxury yacht cruising, which also includes the six-star Scenic Elipse. Bookings are now open for Emerald Yacht Cruise departures through April 2028.
