The Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection is expanding, with three brand new river cruise ships due to start sailing in 2027, completing the line’s transformation to an all Super Ship fleet.
Uniworld revealed that the as-yet-unnamed ships will be new builds featuring custom fabrics, hand-carved wood and marble floors. They’ll be inspired by prominent figures with strong connections to the regions the ships will sail in, including Europe’s Rhine, Main, Danube and Douro rivers. Another addition, the SS Emilie will arrive in 2026. Its inspiration is renowned Austrian painter Gustav Klimt and named after his life partner and muse, Emilie Flöge.
The three new ships will update an expanding fleet that has also added two former ships that previously sailed for Crystal River Cruises. The SS Victoria joined in 2024 and SS Elisabeth is debuting in 2025.
“2027 will mark an extraordinary milestone for Uniworld as we complete our transformation into a fully Super Ship fleet with the addition of three incredible new builds,” said Ellen Bettridge, President and CEO of Uniworld Boutique River Cruises. “Our focus has never been on simply adding more ships, but on continually raising the bar on the luxury river cruise experience. These new vessels will embody our unwavering commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, delivering something truly unparalleled for our valued guests – where no detail is too small.” The new ships will each have their own unique inspiration, look, and feel. Uniworld sailings are all-inclusive, with 5-star service, farm-to-table cuisine and curated excursions.
The three ships will complete the line’s transformation to an all-Super Ship fleet, carrying between 114 and 169 guests. Currently, the fleet includes a vessel leased from another cruise line.
