Virgin Voyages’ second ship will be named Valiant Lady and will make Barcelona her home port for Mediterranean itineraries when she debuts in May, 2021. Bookings for three featured itineraries open December 19, 2019.
Valiant Lady will dock at the World Trade Center Barcelona, just steps from Las Ramblas , Virgin says. This location, usually reserved by luxury liners and mega-yachts, gives walking access to the dynamic and diverse neighborhoods of Poble Sec, el Raval, Barri Gotic, Port Vell and the urban beach of La Barceloneta.
With a schedule of Sunday sailings, sailors can enjoy extra time in Barcelona and be able to take advantage of many different flight options, said Tom McAlpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages.
