Azamara is adding an exclusive range of land options in a rebranding and refocusing of their cruise options.

“We’re venturing beyond the sea,” said Larry Pimetel, president and CEO of Azamara, which is part of the Royal Caribbean International family. The company founded in 2007 will be dropping the term Club Cruises from its brand name. Pimentel said it more clearly defines the brand’s new focus on being “more than a cruise, it’s a cruise plus a land component.”

Now simply Azamara, it will have a new logo that features three elements: The earth, the sea, and a guiding star (which Pimentel said is a reference to Azamara’s namesake, Acamar, which means the brightest star in the southern sky; and the North Star, which has always been used by navigators).

Starting in October, 2019, Azamara will offer a list of 1,700 different land programs in three categories on its sailings, from pre- and post-sailing options,

1) AzAmazing Journeys are three- to six-day journeys that will give groups of no more than 18 interactive experiences with local cultures.

2) Land Journeys will be from three- to six-nights, with stays in four- to five-star hotels, boutique inns, and luxury lodges.

3) Stay Local will offer two to three nights says in a single city, including Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, Dubai, Edinburgh, Los Angeles, Oslo, and San Juan.

Azamara is partnering with luxury travel companies, with Cox & Kings, providing any of the programs, along with niche travel companies including Micato Safaris, PerryGolf and Aloschi Brothers.

All of the land programs will include meals, transfers, and tours led by local guides that will be able to provide expertise in geology, nature, wine, astronomy and, wildlife, depending on the tour.
