A four-month voyage planned on Atlas Ocean Cruises’ newest ship promises to explore the cultures and tastes of places even the most seasoned travellers haven’t visited.
Atlas Adventurer, the world’s first luxury expedition sailing yacht is debuting in 2028 with a grand voyage that focuses on only two continents.
Starting in Kobe, Japan and ending in Cape Town, South Africa, the journey offers ports that other cruises rarely visit to seek out cultural and epicurean experiences for discerning travelers, says James A. Rodriguez, President and CEO of Atlas Ocean Voyages.
“These journeys were created for travelers who believe that time is life’s greatest luxury and who seek deeper, more meaningful ways to experience the world. While every Atlas voyage is designed to inspire authentic discovery and cultural immersion, Extraordinary Expeditions elevate that experience even further through exclusive events, curated shoreside experiences, and unforgettable moments shared with fellow explorers,” he adds.
The collection can be divided into four segments of voyages ranging from 40 to 128 nights, allowing guests to experience entire regions at an unhurried pace paired with exclusive privileges available only to guests sailing these longer itineraries.

Each Extraordinary Expedition includes a range of exclusive benefits including up to $4,500 air credit per guest, comllimentary pre-cruise hotel night, private arrival and departure transfers, complimentary wi-fi and laundry on board and specially curated shore events.
The full Grand Odyssey sails from Kobe Japan on Nov. 28, 2028 and arrives in Cape Toron April 7, 2029 –128 days later. Other segments can start in Bangkok, Singapore, Bali or Mombasa.
