Holland America Line is expanding its menu of long cruises to commemorate its historic 150th anniversary in 2023 .

The cruise line is introducing extended Legendary Voyages. ranging from 25 to 59 days, to compliment their World and Grand Voyages with itineraries that feature enriched experiences in each destination.

Three of the Legendary Voyages are new to HAL:
–A 28-day Arctic Circle Solstice features 11 calls in Alaska, including lesser-visited ports like Nome and Homer.
–The 53-day Majestic Japan with 21 total ports, includes 13 calls around Japan with overnights at Yokohama (Tokyo) and Kobe.
–And the 28-Day Coral Triangle, Volcanoes and The Great Barrier Reef that explores 10 ports in five countries, with scenic cruising in the famed Great Barrier Reef, Torres Strait, and past the Kumba and Krakatau volcanoes.

Most of Holland America Line’s Legendary Voyages sail roundtrip or from North American homeports, allowing travelers to see the world with convenient domestic flights. Many of the itineraries are offered on the line’s smaller, intimate ships, Noordam, Volendam, Westerdam, Zaandam and Zuiderdam.

“As the leader in long itineraries, Holland America Line is excited to continue to connect our deployment and onboard programming to further enrich the guest experience,” said Kacy Cole, vice-president of marketing and e-commerce for Holland America Line. “The destination-rich itineraries found on Legendary Voyages are carefully crafted to allow guests to linger longer and enjoy the journey as well as the destination. With many departures from North America, this creates yet another way for our guests to see the world from their doorstep.”

All of the Legendary Voyages are at least 25 days long and the longest is a 56-day Tales of the South Pacific on Zaandam that departs from Vancouver Sept. 25, 2024 and finishes in San Diego.

Guests booking a Legendary Voyage with the Have It All premium package, get standard package amenities of $300 shore excursion credit, three nights’ specialty dining, a Signature Beverage Package and Surf Wi-Fi. Voyages can also be combined with other promotional fares and savings.
