Sea Cloud II sports sails unfurled by hand--Sea Cloud Cruises

Sea Cloud Cruises is adding immersive routes for its elegant sailing ships in 2027 and 2028 and you can save by booking now.

Modern sailing yachts Sea Cloud Spirit and Sea Cloud II are plotting in-depth itineraries across the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Northern Europe, including select voyages originating in Dublin exploring Ireland, Scotland and on to the Channel Islands and two round trips to Venice.

Additional routes explore the French Atlantic, the islands of Sardinia, Corsica and Elba as well as a course from Malta along the Amalfi Coast to the Côte d’Azur. Spring 2028 itineraries from Barbados to Antigua round out the options.

On each of the Sea Cloud tall ships, the sails are still traditionally hoisted by hand—an impressive display of seamanship as crew members climb the rigging to unfurl the canvas. The process can take nearly an hour and are daily highlights of the voyage as guests gather on deck to watch the ship come alive under full sail.
