
An expedition leader who sailed around the world at age 13; another who became a certified ship captain at 19, and an expert in whale behavior are among the elite expedition team on board as Seabourn Quest embarks on its maiden season in Alaska and British Columbia.
The luxury Seabourn Cruises ship fresh from a winter in the South Pacific and Asia is sailing cruises between Vancouver, and Juneau, Alaska with explorations including Hubbard Glacier, Tracy/Endicott Arm, the Inian Islands, Rudyerd Bay (Misty Fjords) and Alert Bay in B.C. From May to September 2025, 450 guests will be guided by a world-class team of naturalists, science, wildlife and historical experts offering guests expedition-style adventures through hiking, kayaking, and Zodiac cruises.
They include: Expedition leader Adam Jenkins, who earned his U.S. Coast Guard Master license at 19 and was skipper of the MV Peregrine, navigating remote anchorages in Southeast Alaska and British Columbia. Another expedition leader Sean Bercaw circumnavigated the globe with his family on a 38-foot-ketch at age 13, became a commissioned US Naval Officer and has covered nearly 200,000 miles under sail.
Kayak guide Nathan Williams has been leading kayaking expeditions in the Pacific Northwest since 2014. Lecturer and naturalist Lori Beraha is a paddler, sailor, and SCUBA diver and another lecturer and naturalist Paul Niles teaches sailing in Seattle and has a company that delivers yachts both locally and internationally.
