Norwegian Rings a Bella to Top its Prima Class

Norwegian packing a lot of features on Bella's decks --Norwegian Cruise Line

Norwegian Cruise Line has opened bookings for its sixth and final Prima-class ship, Norwegian Bella, due to debut with weeklong roundtrips from Barcelona in May, 2028.

At 1,129 feet and accommodating 3,921 passengers double occupancy she’ll be the biggest in the fleet, joining Norwegian Aura as the two largest NCL vessels.

NCL says Bella will be “a ship like no other,” although the ship will pack in many experiences similar to sister ship Norwegian Aura, which is arriving in 2027. New features include Ocean Heights, a multi-level, open-air complex; Ocean Boulevard, which wraps the ship on Deck 8; an expanded pool deck and 159 suites within The Haven by Norwegian.

Like Norwegian Aura, Norwegian Bella is under construction at Fincantieri’s Monfalcone yard in Italy. Both ships’ interiors are created by AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, SMC Design and Studio DADO.

Norwegian Bella’s hull art is by Australia’s George Rose–Norwegian Cruise Line

Continuing NCL’s tradition of partnering with famous artists to create iconic hull art, Norwegian Bella will feature an original design by acclaimed Australian contemporary artist George Rose. Known for her bold murals and vibrant botanical compositions, Rose’s works blend fine art and design through vivid color, fluid gradients and graphic natural forms.

“Drawing on the innovations and guest feedback that have shaped the class from the very beginning, Norwegian Bella brings together our most sought-after experiences in one extraordinary ship,” NCL President Marc Kazlauskas said.

“From enhanced outdoor spaces and family-friendly attractions to elevated venues for relaxation and connection, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to give guests the freedom and flexibility to vacation exactly how they want to, without anyone having to compromise. We look forward to welcoming guests to discover the Mediterranean with us aboard Norwegian Bella.”

Norwegian Bella’s initial Barcelona cruises will visit Civitavecchia for Rome, Livorno, Salerno, Marseille and Palma de Mallorca.
